Shirts, Jackets, and Hoodies

How to measure YOUR chest size (You will need help)

  • Stand Up Straight: Relax your shoulders and stand up tall.
  • Wrap the Tape Measure: Place the tape measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest, and across your shoulder blades.
  • Keep It Level: Ensure the tape is level across your back and chest. The tape should be snug but not tight.
  • Record the Measurement: Take note of the number where the tape meets.

How to measure an existing shirt or jacket you currently own and wear comfortably

  • Lay the Garment Flat: Ensure the shirt or jacket is buttoned/zipped up and spread it out on a flat surface.
  • Measure the Chest:
    • From Armpit to Armpit: Measure across the chest from one armpit seam to the other.
    • Double the Measurement: Multiply this number by two to get the full chest measurement.
  • Record the Measurements: Write down the measurements to use as a reference when shopping.

Pants

How to measure YOUR pant size (You will need help)

Waist:

  • Find Your Natural Waist: Bend to one side to locate your natural waistline, typically above your belly button.
  • Wrap the Tape Measure: Place the tape measure around your natural waist.
  • Keep It Snug but Not Tight: Ensure the tape is parallel to the floor and snug but comfortable.
  • Record the Measurement: Note the number where the tape meets.

Inseam

  • Stand Straight: If possible, have someone assist you for accuracy.
  • Measure from the Crotch: Start from the crotch seam down to the desired length, typically just below the ankle.
  • Record the Measurement: Take note of the length.

How to measure existing pants you currently own and wear comfortably

  • Lay the Pants Flat: Ensure the pants are buttoned/zipped up and spread out on a flat surface.
  • Measure the Waist:
    • Across the Top: Measure straight across the top of the waistband from one edge to the other.
    • Double the Measurement: Multiply this number by two to get the full waist measurement.
  • Measure the Inseam:
    • From the Crotch to the Hem: Measure along the inside seam from the crotch to the bottom hem.
